From April to October, we typically move hundreds of guests per day, several days a week — often managing large-scale disembarkation that involves transferring hundreds of cruise passengers to tours, airports, and hotels, all simultaneously within the operational constraints of the Port of Vancouver.
We’re equally experienced in handling large airport arrivals, where delayed flights and itinerary changes are the norm. Whether it’s port, airport logistics, or dine-around experiences our team excels at delivering seamless, high-volume guest movement with precision and care, including the local DMC knowledge of how and where to best stage, always delivering service excellence.

We enjoyed 2 tours with Rockwood: Barry led the Rainforest River Canyons and Salmon Adventure, and Chris & Josie led the Sea-to-Sky Gondola and Rainforest River Canyons. Both were fabulous and we highly recommend them. One thing we really appreciated was the experience of the guides, which made them knowledgeable on any question we could ask. The pace was casual so we never felt rushed, and yet they kept us on time and squeezed a lot in to that time. The bus was comfortable and secure. Barry, Chris, and Josie each took care to get to know all the members of the group, leaving us feeling that we had some new best friends in Vancouver. And, of course, the scenery was stunning and we took a LOT of photos! We didn’t organize it, but we understand that Rockwood stepped up when others couldn’t, leaving us again feeling like we won a lottery. I just wanted to reach out and let you know how wonderful our trip on the 8th was. The rain was unbelievable and constant the whole weekend, but being with the kids and family made up for it.
Peter, our guide, was fantastic and obviously enjoys working for Rockwood. He was experienced and willing to share his knowledge and we all felt pretty swanky being escorted around. The lunch was very good with a nice touch adding the tablecloth and dishes. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with the nice picnic and we found ourselves rushing to finish eating as we were so wet and needed to get warm.
Oh well, good thing we are not made of spun sugar! LOL.

We have recruited over 50 Guides and Destination Hosts, dedicated to Rockwood. Each guide and host is specially trained by Rockwood’s signature storytelling techniques and knowledge-sharing approach.
All of our experiences are led by friendly, caring experts from a variety of professional backgrounds — teachers, foresters, business managers, chefs, and many other unique professions — most of whom come from outside the tour industry. These are well researched experts who love to share their local experiences and knowledge.
We also have access to World-Class Guest Speakers including; Indigenous Artists & Leaders, Anthropologists & Environmentalists, and Olympic Athletes.
