Rockwood’s culinary adventures are truly something to experience; whether gourmet picnics with family style platters, gourmet sandwich lunch bags, or lunch or dinner at one of our Best of the Locals™ dining locations, our guests will be sure to discover and enjoy some of the region’s finest.
Rockwood’s’ Best of BC Cuisine™ is a key differentiator created by our founder, Manfred Scholermann, a former Olympic Culinary Team member and fine dining Executive Chef, and so one of Rockwood key brand pillars is “unique culinary-infused excursions” creating “memories for all our guests senses”, and they are available for all excursions as an optional enhancement, as well as culinary experiences including evening dining experiences.
Culinary Enhancements: For Culinary enhancements on our excursions we typically require at least a 5-hour excursion; 4 hours excursions can add an additional hour if desiring a culinary enhancement. Evening culinary programs are based on min 3 hrs.
Culinary Options:
We offer our traditional Gourmet Picnic with Family Platters, and our Gourmet Lunch Bag Picnic that Rockwood is well known for; and we also offer a full Executive Chef Service to custom cater to your needs, wants and budget. For those who prefer, or for the evening program, we offer a hand selected group of local restaurants and private venues, known as our Best of the Locals™ Culinary Adventures:

Best of the Locals™ Culinary Adventure: We have great relationships with a wide range of local restaurants. We can take all the hassles away and offer you a one-stop shop. Also we are the ones who typically to make last minute bookings and changes with restaurants as well as seating our guests, so it’s good for us to be the main contact to maximize privileges, let us know and we’ll take your guests, get them there and back and turn their excursion into a Culinary Adventure.
